"The Bodrum Cup", the largest nautical festival in the Mediterranean, brought together sailing enthusiasts in the world-famous bays of Bodrum this year.
The sails were filled with Bodrum's wind at the "American Hospital the Bodrum Cup - Nautical Festival & Regatta 2019”, one of the world’s most prestigious international competitions organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
As a part of the event that marked the 30th anniversary of the foundation of ERA Bodrum Sailing Club, a chain of love was formed and Maximilian J.W. Thomae, the world-famous chef of Gastronometro, served as the head of a panel of jurors for the Blue Voyage Food Competition while the event was also home to such activities as the Floating Exhibition by İlhan Koman and concerts with acoustic performances.
Participants, including domestic and international press members in particular, had some fascinating moments on the sidelines of events held on the water and by the beach in the world-renowned Kissebükü bay.
The photos of the chain of love formed by sailboats in 2004 off the Bodrum Castle as a part of the competition are still the preference of global yachting publications today.
31st international sailing competition and nautical festival was held on October 21-26.
Kicked off by a bell-ringing ceremony, the event went on to stop by Bodrum on the 22nd, Kissebükü on 23rd and 24th and Gümüşlük on 25th of October.
The "American Hospital the Bodrum Cup" finalized this year’s organization with an award ceremony and a final concert for the stage of Gümüşlük-Yalıkavak Marina on October 26.
