The promotion of the Turkish stage of World Motocross Championship (MXGP) to be organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency, at Afyonkarahisar on the 7th and 8th of September, was launched in Istanbul.
During the event, co-supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the title of “Sports is the Future of Tourism”, Sportsman Rafal Pasierbek has staged a motocross show for the visitors.
Sakarya MP of Justice and Development Party and former Supersport World Champion Kenan Sofuoğlu also attended the organization held in Sultanahmet Square. At his press statement Kenan Sofuoğlu reminded that after many years, Turkey finally was home to the championship last year, and added, “We will do our best to promote Turkey. It is a huge step to bring a stage of such a championship followed by millions, to our country”.
The World-famous showman Rafal Pasierbek on his part said, “I have been to Turkey as a tourist before but now I am here in Istanbul, at a very important location for a very significant show. It is great excitement for me to be here. Standing right here in this historical place means a lot to me”.
